Daniel is the one who started making our hickory syrup here on the farm. It is made from the Shagbark Hickory tree.  It has a fruity, nutty flavor with a touch of smokiness.  With the combo of sweet and savory this syrup is very versatile.  Great on pancakes and waffles, but when you cook with it, it is fantastic on pork, salmon, carrots, baked beans, and so much more!
